The iOptron® Rumak-type 150mm Maksutov-Cassegrain is perfect for the serious amateur astronomer who wants apochromatic refractor-type performance at an affordable price. In fact, the multicoated and fully-baffled optics provide almost similar results as a 5-inch apochromatic refractor - at a fraction of the cost.
The MAK150 from iOptron is the only MAK of its kind that comes with a dual speed focuser for fine-tuning your images. Also included is an attachable dew shield—rare for a MAK—for better performance in cold temperatures.

Initial impressions are that this is a very sharp and portable well corrected long focal length telescope, due to its Rumak (separate secondary mirror) design. First images of the Moon confirmed this is the case. This telescope can be used equally well with eyepieces, SLR or mirrorless cameras or special astronomical and planetary cameras. Looking forward to further excellent views and images of our Moon and the planets of our solar system and even planetary nebula are now within reach
